Stack three materials, light the joints
The house is read as three stacked bands — stone at the base, white render in the middle, a timber-faced volume on top — and the joints between them are where the lighting goes, recessed so the building is lit by its own seams rather than by fittings on the wall. Balconies are cut into the render band so they sit inside the mass rather than being hung off it, and the roof terrace is set back behind the timber volume so it is not visible from the road.
