Slot House

The house is faced in a grey board-marked finish rather than white render, which is unusual here and is the reason the scheme holds together: against a mid grey, a single dark vertical slot cut from parapet to ground reads immediately, and the timber panel beside it reads as warm rather than as one more accent. The ground floor is recessed under a flat projecting tray to cover the parking. There is no cornice, no coloured band and no second gesture anywhere on the elevation.
