Palm Deck Apartments

Short-let apartments live or die on their outdoor space, so the pool deck is not what is left over at the end. It is cut into the plan at ground level, screened by a planted wall, decked in timber, and the block above is lifted on columns so the parking sits in shade beside it rather than in front of it. The apartment elevations are deliberately plain — recessed balconies, a grey and white palette, and enough depth at every opening to keep the afternoon off the glass.
