Cinnamon Tower

A slender residential and office tower set on a low commercial podium, which is the arrangement the plot asks for: the podium holds the street edge and the retail frontage, and the tower is kept narrow enough that it never shades the podium roof for long. The roof of the tower is the part most schemes waste on tanks and condensers — here it is planted and curved, and the services are pushed down into the podium so the crown can be occupied. The set carries several studies for the same site, including a version whose balconies zigzag down the elevation in a chevron and another that runs a diagrid across the podium frontage.
