The Amber Box
A dark timber wall with a single amber-lit box pushed out of it.

Parti
One lit box in a dark timber wall
The front is largely a dark timber-faced wall, deliberately closed, and one box is pushed forward out of it and lit amber from inside the reveal. That contrast is the whole scheme: the closed wall gives the ground floor rooms privacy from a road that runs close to the boundary, and the projecting box gives the one room upstairs that wants a view somewhere to have it from. White render returns on the flanks, and the entrance is set in the shadow line where the timber wall meets the projecting box.
