The Frame House
A house where a single raised frame runs round the openings and ties the elevation together.

Wrap the openings in one continuous frame
A continuous raised band runs around the main openings and returns across the front of the house, so what would otherwise be separate windows on separate floors is read as one figure. The frame projects far enough to shade the glass inside it, which is the point — it is a brise-soleil that happens to also be the composition. The set holds three studies for the same brief: the framed version, a sharper one where the frame is broken into angled blades that fly past the corners, and a third where the whole idea is reduced to two vertical strips of warm light either side of the entrance.
